Kai II started his drumming career by beating on things that were forbidden such as walls and coffee tables. In school, the floor was his bass drum and the desk was his snare drum. Although this got him in trouble on many occasions, it did persuade his parents' to invest in a drum set. This investment later proved to be more than just a saviour of their furniture because it also allowed him to develop his wonderful gift. Kai II was exposed to a lot of music at home and at church and with that he taught himself to play. He spends a lot of time on the internet studying other professional drummers such as Tony Royster Jr. and Dave Weckyl. When he's not playing with EBB & Flow, he stays busy by playing for his church and his highschool jazz band.
